Dans l’agate ci-dessous, une « silhouette » communique avec un ordinateur par la parole (reconnaissance vocale; la voix est symbolisée par des cercles concentriques). Ce qui lui permet, grâce à des programmes sophistiqués exécutés par des robots intelligents, de faire construire à distance et sans bouger de son fauteuil (éventuellement dans d’autres planètes de la galaxie, par communication classique ou téléportation quantique) des complexes habitables «modernes», par exemple (regardez le bord inférieur de l’agate). Vous ne croyez pas à ces élucubrations ? C’est votre droit le plus strict. Mais au vu des progrès fulgurants de l’informatique, réalisés en quelques décennies, les idées de ce genre ne sont plus utopiques – pour autant que l’être humain (surtout l’homme, en fait…) ne s’autodétruise pas, à force de massacrer bêtement la planète et d’empoisonner toute la biosphère… et donc lui-même. Mais au fait, comment une telle image a-t-elle pu se former dans une bulle de lave volcanique de la région de Freisen, il y a quelque 270 millions d’années ? Je n’en sais fichtre rien… Le plus simple serait évidemment de poser la question à la « silhouette » tranquillement assise devant son ordinateur…
